Self-drive & Parking
The Attic is based right in the heart of central Auckland. Our fantastic location means that we aren’t able to include parking options in our low low rates.
The two closest car parks to Attic are the Atrium Car Park and the Civic Carpark. We recommend the Civic Carpark at present whilst city roadworks continue. The Civic Carpark has 900 underground carparks and is a short 5 minute flat walk to the Attic. Access to the Civic Carpark is off Mayoral Drive and Greys Avenue.
Guests wishing to park at the Civic Carpark can simply take a ticket on arrival and pay on departure.

Take the SkyDrive bus from the designated airport pickup point,
The bus service is priced from $18 per person, each way and takes approximately 40-50 minutes during daytime and early evening hours.
The Attic can not book the SkyDrive service for you in advance so we recommend you book direct on the SkyDrive website or purchase your ticket as you board the SkyDrive bus.
Service times vary, but are usually every 30 minutes through the day.
Take the service to / from the Intercity Coach Depot located at the back of the SkyCity building. From here it’s a short 5 minute walk to the hostel.
You can also take a super shuttle from the airport from $45 per person and $8 per additional person, this will bring you to our door.
Alternatively you can take an Uber for a similar price.
From Intercity/ Skycity bus terminal
If you’re taking the any Intercity cross-country service, their drop-off for Auckland is the Intercity Bus terminal on Hobson Street, in the SkyCity complex.
The Attic is conveniently located less than a 4 minute walk away.
Simply walk around the corner onto Wellesley Street West, easy! We are located at 31 Wellesley, our entrance is just by Tony’s Steakhouse.
From Britomart Train station
Take the exit onto Queen St, and walk South, away from the harbour. After 10 minutes you’ll reach Wellesley Street West, on the right.
If you have heavy luggage, then hop on the City link bus (Green) heading South along Queen St. Disembark at McDonalds, then walk around the corner to Wellesley Street.
