As our name suggests, Attic Backpackers has welcomed thousands of individual travellers & backpackers since our grand opening in 2014. Prior to the Covid-19 crisis, we operated at 97% occupancy – which is approximately 100 people staying in-house every single day! And, is one of the reasons why The Attic is Auckland’s most awarded hostel, including winning Hostelworld’s coveted Hoscar as ‘Most Popular Hostel in Auckland’ 4 years running.
The Attic is not the cheapest hostel in the market, and we are not interested in competing with other cheap, over crowded, dirty, uncomfortable and noisy party hostels. Attic Backpackers is instead aiming to be the best ‘budget accommodation with shared living facilities’ in Auckland CBD. Our dorms are spaciously designed and our staff endeavour to provide a clean and friendly environment for all our guests!
