Tucked up on the top floor of a heritage building, we’re right in the heart of the city, just steps from Queen Street and the Skytower. No complaints at all. The staff was polite and helpful, everything was clean, there was no noise at night, and the hostel is located in the city center, not far from the bus station.

At a few minutes of the Intercity bus terminal. Secure. Good room. Large kitchen and lounges. Easy to go to the train station and the city buses. Clean.

We’ve got a mix of dorms and private rooms to suit all kinds of travellers.
Choose from:
– Mixed dorms (14-bed to twin-bed)
– Female-only dorms
– Private rooms (single or double)
All rooms are simple, tidy, and come with bedding — no need to bring your own.
Check-in starts at 2:30 PM. You’re welcome to drop bags from 9 AM and head back out to explore the city. We’ll check you in early if we can.
Each bed includes fresh linen, a pillow and duvet. All guests have access to our kitchen, rooftop terrace, and free high-speed WiFi and more. Towels are available to hire for $5.
Yes! Smaller groups can book private dorms directly. If you're travelling with 10+ people, email us at info@atticbackpackers.co.nz to sort your booking and get our group terms.
If you booked direct, cancellations made 72+ hours before arrival are free. Inside 72 hours or for no-shows/early departures, full charges apply. If you booked through another website, their terms apply.
